WESTFIELD, NJ — Just inside Limani Seafood Grill, surrounded by lemons inside a glass case, a display of fresh fish lets visitors see for themselves that the restaurant offers only the finest, freshest seafood. And now you can get it to go.
“All of our fish is delivered fresh each day from the Fulton Fish Market located in the Bronx,” said owner George Vastardis. “Not only are you able to select your favorite fish or seafood, be sure to check out our lively lobster tank. Guests are most welcome to select their lunch or dinner.”
As a courtesy to their customers, Limani will gladly boil, broil or steam your lobster, according to Vastardis. “We’ll do all the prep work, so that all you have to do is open your package, set your lobsters out on your favorite serving platter and invite your guests to dig right in. As a special gift to our clientele, we do all of the prep work at no extra cost,” he said.
The staff at Limani Seafood Grill will happily shuck your clams and oysters, as well.
“Knowing that our customers expect the best from Limani Seafood Grill, I have gone out of my way to present seafood that you will never find at your local fish market or supermarket,” said Vastardis.
“For example, our east and west coast oysters and our colossal crab meat from the far east are the best. Our exceptional raw bar station far exceeds any shellfish you may purchase anywhere on the east coast. We also offer the best steamed or little neck clams on the half shell, wild Ivory King salmon, corvina—a South American white fish, sea bass, skate, a mild fish with a sweet flavor from Rhode Island, sushi-grade Ahi tuna, bronzini from Greece, halibut from Nova Scotia, California white bass from the Catalina Islands and even monk fish from our local New Jersey waters.”
Right now Limani is featuring tiger prawns the size of lobster tails (six to eight per pound).
“We prepare them for our customers. To serve, simply remove them from their package and set them out on an attractive plate,” said Vastardis.
And while you are selecting your seafood, remember that Limani Seafood Grill has appetizers and all the sides you need to round out your meal, such as asparagus, fresh green beans, roasted potatoes, freshly prepared garlic mashed potatoes and George’s vegetable medley. Dessert selections include mango-flavored tartufu and assorted gelatos imported from Italy.
“Whatever appears on the dinner menu is available for take-out,” said Vastardis. “All we need is an hour’s notice, and your dinner will be ready for pickup.”
