FANWOOD, NJ – Due to an unanticipated repair issue associated with the main under the intersection of South and Martine avenues, water service will be shut down for part of Fanwood on Wednesday, March 26, from approximately 11 p.m. until approximately 5 a.m. on Thursday.
The announcement comes from the NJ American Water Company, which began water main upgrades earlier this week on South Martine Avenue in downtown Fanwood. The water shutoff is expected to impact residents and businesses along South Avenue from Locust Avenue west to just past Martine Avenue, Locust Avenue and Old South Avenue.
The water company suggests that residents and businesses save water for use during the shut-down period.
