Summit Football Leads Parsippany Hills, 16-6, at Half in State Final

UNION, NJ - The Summit football team is halfway to their second straight North 2, Group 3 state championship.

Backed by two passing touchdowns from senior quarterback Charlie Terry, the Hilltoppers leads Parsippany Hills, 16-6, at halftime from Kean University.

Summit opened the game with a touchdown drive capped by a 23-yard screen from Terry to senior running back Colm Dougherty.

After forcing a punt on the Vikings' first possession, Terry connected with junior wideout Chris Zanelli on a 28-yard score.

The Hilltoppers forced the first of two interceptions on Parsippany Hills' next possession, leading to a 27-yard field goal from freshman kicker Jack Johnson that put Summit up 16-0.

Parsippany Hills gained some momentum at the end of the second quarter when senior wide receiver Evan Smith took a bubble screen 53 yards for a score.
