SHORT HILLS, NJ - Congratulations to Seamus O'Neill an eighth grader at St. Rose of Lima Academy who won the school-level competition of the National Geographic Bee sponsored by Google and Plum, held this past January 2014. In the school-level Bee, students from grades five through eight answered oral questions on geography.

Thousands of schools around the United States and in five U.S. territories participated. The individual school winners then took a written test, and up to 100 top scorers received invitations to participate in the state-level competition which was held on April 4, 2014.

Seamus was again chosen this year and represented our school on the state - level where he received a third place award. We are proud of Seamus's accomplishments and want to thank him for taking part in the National Geographic Bee. We wish him much success in his future endeavors.
