SPARTA, NJ- On Friday, June 20 in recognition of Torture Awareness Month sponsored by the National Religious Campaign Against Torture, the film “No Doubt, It Was Torture” will be shown to the public from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Sparta United Methodist Church, located at 71 Sparta Avenue, Sparta.
This is an 11-minute film that describes the key findings from the Constitution Project’s Task Force on Detainee Treatment and offers responses from several religious traditions to the problem of U.S.-sponsored torture. In recognition of June as "Torture Awareness Month," the film will be viewed followed by an open discussion. All are welcome to attend.
