BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - The Rotary Club of Berkeley Heights officers were installed at the June 25th meeting at Chimney Rock Inn. Tiffany Escott continues with her second term as President with Julianne Simmons as Treasurer and Stephanie Bakos as Secretary, replacing Hal Daume.
Daume provided the "craft talk" to the group regarding his profession of being a marketing consultant. It is a tradition of the club for a Rotarian, in "rotation", to provide this craft talk and speak of their profession or business. The Rotary Club was the first service organization in the world and one of the first networking groups, before the word "networking" even existed, said Daume.
The meeting concluded with the Rotarians stating the The Rotary Four-Way Test: 1. Is it the Truth?, 2. Is it Fair to All Concerned?, 3. Will it Build Goodwill and Better Friendships?, 4. Will it be Beneficial to All Concerned? This Four-Way Test sums up the basics of what Rotary stands for.
The Rotary Club of Berkeley Heights meets the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at Chimney Rock Inn in Gillette. Visit their website for news and information regarding the club.
