CRANFORD, NJ — As Union County College (UCC) gears up to begin its fall semester on Sept. 4, New Jersey American Water is installing a new 12-inch water main on Springfield Avenue. On that road, from Penn Road to West End Avenue, traffic will be diverted from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, according to the college.

Residents and students and faculty from Union County College with proper ID will be permitted onto Springfield Avenue. Others must follow the posted detour. The Cranford Police Department advises allowing extra time for travel.

UCC is asking that students and staff work with the Cranford Police to minimize any inconvenience and thanks everyone in advance for their cooperation.
