MADISON, NJ - Parts of the borough were without power as of 7 a.m. Wednesday morning.

An alert from the Madison Police Department via Madison Electric reads:

We are aware of the power outage in town and Madison Electric is working to fix the issue at this time.

Although it has not been confirmed that this outage is at all related to excessive heat, the weather forecast for Wednesday calls for high temperatures in the low 90s, but with heat indices (i.e. the "real feel") climbing above 100 degrees during the afternoon with unusually high and uncomfortable dew points and humidity levels.
