NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - On Tuesday night, the New Providence Planning Board approved Berkeley Aquatics' site plan for the Panasonic Building on Central Avenue in the borough. In other business, the board also resolved that a new facade must be in place on the old McGrath's building on South Street and Springfield Avenue by Aug. 1 and approved a generator at CR Bard.

As previously reported by TheAlternativePress.com, the plans for the Panasonic building include building an indoor Olympic-size pool next to the building.  Inside the building will be two pools and a training facility.  The additional space in the building will not be rented out.

Planning Board member and Councilman Gary Kapner told TheAlternativePress.com, "This is a great addition to the borough. We are ecstatic to have them. Jim Wood is a longtime resident and this is a really good re-use of an existing structure in New Providence."
