MADISON, NJ - More than 200 potted mums were delivered to downtown Madison with 92 merchants participating in the Mum Sale program, which is organized and run by the Garden Club. The program helps to raise funds for the baskets, which are hung from downtown’s lampposts throughout the spring.

The club’s aim is to beautify downtown and create a welcoming feeling to all those who enter it.

Janet Baker, president of the Garden Club, voices her appreciation for all the support received from local merchants.  Garden Club members Laura Hardin, Mindy Papetti, Gretchen Sinha and Peggy Oakes delivered the mums to downtown merchants. Mayor Bob Conley was on hand to help the Garden Club in its efforts. Co-chairs Gretchen Sinha and Mindy Papetti indicated they were most appreciative of his presence and support.
