Minisink Swim and Tennis Club, in Chatham, selected 30 of its best swimmers to represent the Club in the 59th Annual Town and Country League All Team Meet held at Berkeley Swim Club on Saturday, August 2.
The Town and Country League is comprised of 6 teams — Berkeley Swim Club, Chatham Fish and Game, Clearwater Club, Crestview Club, Minisink Swim and Tennis Club, and the Noe Pond Club.
According to the Amateur Athletic Association, The Town and Country League is the first and oldest competitive summer swim team competition in the Nation. The All Team Meet has 50 events, which include medley and free relays per age group for boys and girls, and one race per age group, for boys and girls,for each of the four strokes: backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and freestyle.
