LIVINGSTON, NJ – The Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges just announced the election of its new Treasurer, Ronald E. Schwarz.
Schwarz is the Executive Vice President and Chief Retail Officer at Lakeland Bank in Oak Ridge and graduated from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. He has been an active volunteer with the YMCA since 2011 and served as the 2012 Co-Chair for Metro YMCA Strong Kids Campaign.
“I’m honored to serve on the Board of the Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges. I can say it has been one of the best decisions I have made. It’s important for me to volunteer for an organization that has such positive influence in the lives of children, families and adults by making sure everyone who needs our help, get it.” says Schwarz.
“As Treasurer of the Board of Directors, I am excited to continue to work with fellow board members and Y leadership team to continue the direction and execution of our strategic vision strengthening our community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.”
Schwarz succeeds Stuart Vorcheimer who was recently elected as Chairman.
