LIVINGSTON, NJ - Meadowbrook Country Day Camp, which is owned by former Livingston High School graduate Roz Buck and her husband Jed, is holding an Open House on Sunday, Feb. 23, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The 50-acre camp, which is located at 73 East Valley Brook Road in Long Valley, offers a variety of programs for children in Nursery School through entering 9th grade.
“Guests will tour the camp in heated mini-school buses, ‘see a little bit of camp in action,’ via the Video Yearbook, participate in a few crafts and games, enjoy snacks and talk with me, Roz, camp counsellors and directors,” said Jed.
“This is a great opportunity for parents and children to ask questions and get answers,” said Roz.
Meadowbrook Country Day Camp offers a “traditional” day camp program run by a mature and professional staff, with a unique focus on building life skills through the T.I.G.E.R. program, in which children are recognized for embodying five core qualities—Teamwork, Integrity, Generosity, Enthusiasm and Respect.
At Meadowbrook Country Day Camp, campers enjoy athletics; a 9,000-square-foot pool complex with three heated pools; a private lake with a boating program that includes canoeing, kayaking, power paddles and bumper boats; arts and crafts; ropes courses; nature activities; a real arcade; mountain boarding; mountain biking; weekly special events, and more.
“This will be my girls’ fifth year at Meadowbrook,” said Debbie ‘Mack’ Glucksman, a 1986 LHS graduate. “They have made amazing friends that they see outside of camp. They love mountain boarding, archery, bumper boats, chocolate [an edible art activity], cooking and arts and crafts—just to name a few of their favorite activities. They also love the staff and feel like part of the Meadowbrook family. In addition, my older daughter loves it so much that she is now going back to be a counselor.”
Guests who enroll at the Open House will save $100 off winter rates.
The next Open House is scheduled for March 16
