WEST ORANGE, NJ - Food donations poured in to benefit the West Orange Food Pantry, Jewish Community Center and Caring Hearts of New Jersey Home Care, from April 1-11, via donation bins, which were set up around Livingston, West Orange and other neighboring towns, to collect donations of non-perishable food and Chametz (leavened foods) removed from homes in preparation for the First Passover Seder.
Livingston’s Pip Printing, First Class Movers, and the law offices of both Hauptman & Hauptman and Michael J. Brown; West Orange’s Town Hall, Library, and JCC Metrowest; as well as” Caring Hearts of New Jersey; Home Care in South Orange; Massood & Bronsnick of Wayne; and Core Therapies in Florham Park, participated in the drive by setting up collection bins in their offices.
The recipients of the food collected said they were grateful to First Class Movers of Livingston for stopping by the JCC Metrowest loading up all the donations for drop off at the West Orange Food Pantry at the Holy Trinity Church.
This food drive is just one of many “Mitzvah (act of human kindness) Moments” the JCC offers for participation by the surrounding community. For upcoming Mitzvah Moments visit http://www.jccmetrowest.org/mitzvahmoments
