FANWOOD, NJ – It will be a LaGrande time for kids and adults as Fanwood’s seventh annual “Party in the Park” on Tuesday, June 24, kicks off its annual series of free summer movies with the modern Disney classic Frozen.

Organized by the Fanwood Recreation Commission, the party to celebrate the first Free Movie Night of the summer at LaGrande Park will begin at 5:30 p.m. There will be food, music, beverages, rides and other amusements, too.  Additionally, the party will feature contests, including curling and ice cube relay races, and crafts inspired by the movie Frozen.

"I am looking forward to this wonderful kick off to summer, which our dedicated recreation commissioners work hard on adding creative twists to capture the theme of the featured movie, Frozen," said Mayor Colleen Mahr.  "I invite all to bring their appetite and a chair and come out for truly a night of family fun in LaGrande Park."

Movies on tap for this summer include:

  • Tues, June 24: Frozen (PG)
  • Tues, July 1: Monsters University (G)
  • Tues, July 8: Wreck It Ralph (PG)
  • Tues, July 15: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 (PG)
