WESTFIELD, NJ — About 40 members and prospective members of the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce (GWACC) gathered at Gallery U Boutique in Westfield Jan. 9 for the organization’s free monthly open networking breakfast. In addition to plenty of time to network, every participant enjoyed the opportunity to spend a few minutes sharing information about his or her business with the group.
More than just a fully functional art space and boutique, Gallery U Boutique is an extension of Universal Institute, a rehabilitation facility that services adults with traumatic brain injuries (TBI). The venue serves as a vocational training program with a goal of introducing people with TBI back into the work force and community.
“This is a gorgeous place. It’s very warm and inviting,” said GWACC Chairman Chris Devine. “We’re very thankful that they allowed us to come here today. I think they’re going to be very successful. We’re proud to have them as a new member of the chamber.”
The GWACC serves Westfield, Garwood, Mountainside, Fanwood and Scotch Plains. Find out more at www.westfieldareachamber.com.
