ANCRUM, Scotland - The Gov. Livingston Highlander Marching Band will be performing Thursday evening in Ancrum, Scotland -- the ancestral home of Governor William Livingston -- during their annual trip to Scotland.

The band plays a wide range of classical music, movie themes, Scottish favorites and American standards. The Highlanders are named after the first governor of New Jersey, William Livingston, whose family hailed from Ancrum, Scotland, and the band wears traditional kilts of the Stewart Clan, tartan plaid.

The Highlander Marching Band has many scheduled performances during their trip including at Edinburgh and Stirling Castles. The band is directed by Nicholas O'Sullivan and assistant Ray Troxell.
