Detect. Protect. Live.
Each month, Elm Terrace Gardens continuing care retirement community of Lansdale hosts a “cause day” to spread awareness about a cause or disease.
Wednesday was Melanoma Cancer Awareness Day at Elm Terrace Gardens. Residents and staff dressed in their favorite “beach gear” to help spread awareness about skin cancer.
A table was set up with information about SPF and the importance of using sunscreen, proper sun gear, and checking moles.
A variety of fresh fruit was available along with delicious kiwi strawberry juice. Vanilla and chocolate cupcakes with frosting and umbrellas were also available.
There were a lot of freebies like sunglasses, visors, sunscreen, and information about protection from the sun for residents and staff to share with their families.
A fun time was had by all.
