MAPLEWOOD, NJ – Parents of Columbia High School students have been invited by the school district to meet with a representative from the New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association in the CHS cafeteria on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 7 p.m., to offer feedback to help create a profile for use in the hiring of the new CHS principal.

Since the retirement of CHS Principal Dr. Lovie Lilly on Sept. 1, Kirk Smith has been serving as the interim principal, and will continue to do so until the district hires a new principal.

Parents have unique insight into what qualifications and traits a new principal should possess, so this opportunity to participate in the process should be embraces by as many parents as possible.
