CHATHAM, NJ – The Chatham Township Committee today launched a bi-monthly electronic newsletter that is designed to keep residents abreast of the activities of the various departments in the township and increase their engagement in community-related activities.
The electronic newsletter will be distributed via the township’s Alert Chatham Township Now! (ACT Now!) Emergency & Community Alert system to individuals that have elected to receive community alerts and will be posted on the Township website (chathamtownship-nj.gov/newsletters).
The newsletter will feature a community calendar, as well as important news from the various departments in the Township including Police, Fire and DPW. In addition, each issue will spotlight a volunteer organization that supports Township residents and feature a resident photo of the month.
“This newsletter will provide important information and increase awareness of Township activities as we continue our efforts to increase the communication between the Township Committee and residents and local businesses,” said Mayor Kevin Sullivan.
The Township Committee, which consists of Mayor Kevin Sullivan, Deputy Mayor Curt Ritter, Kathy Abbott, Bailey Brower, Jr. and Robert Gallop, typically meets the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 7:30 PM at
the Township Municipal Building located at 58 Meyersville Road. Residents are welcome to attend the meeting in person, or they can view the proceedings live on Comcast channel 29 and Verizon FiOS channel 26.
