BASKING RIDGE, NJ – A 24-year-old Basking Ridge man was arrested and charged with invasion of privacy for allegedly posting sexually explicit photos of a woman on the Internet.

According  to Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey D. Soriano, John L. Lodato was arrested at his home on Fieldstone Dr. without incident at 6:15 a.m. Friday, March 14.

Members of the Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit were contacted by a law-enforcement agency in Warren County, in reference to a complaint filed within their jurisdiction.

The complaint, filed by the victim, pertained to sexually explicit photographs posted of her on a website by Lodato without her permission, Soriano said.

The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit initiated an investigation and found that Lodato did upload sexually explicit photographs of the victim to a website without the victim’s knowledge or consent.

Lodato was charged with third-degree invasion of privacy, and was released on his own recognizance, Soriano said.
