SUMMIT, NJ - Jeffrey Heaney, assistant principal for Student Affairs at Lawton C. Johnson Summit Middle School (LCJSMS) for the past five years, will be leaving his post to accept the position of principal at Woodland Elementary School in Warren.

In an email sent to LCJSMS parents, school Principal Matthew Block said, "Mr. Heaney is ready to take the helm of his own school as principal. I am fully confident that we will hear of his continued success as he takes the next logical step in his career as an educator."

Heaney is scheduled to continue at LCJSMS through the end of August, and a search for his replacement is underway.
