New Providence Recreation will host art classes for adults with special needs on Friday evenings beginning February 1. Kris Serpico, an experienced Recreation art instructor, has both taught and assisted with this class for several years. She will help participants explore their creativity through painting and other art mediums. The program seeks to be both artistically interesting and social for attendees.
Registrants must be comfortable and able to work and interact in a group class room setting. Registration is open to both resident and non-resident adults with special needs.
The five sessions will be held February 1 through March 15 (no class February 15 or 22) from 6:30-8:00PM at the Municipal Center Art Room, 360 Elkwood Avenue. The cost of the program is $40 and includes all materials.
To register, go to the Recreation website (www.newprov.org/recreation) and click the Online Registration link at the top of the page. The class is listed under New Providence Recreation and 2012-2013 Special Needs & Mentoring. Registration forms, which may be completed and mailed in with payment, are also available on the Recreation home page. Please call the Recreation Department with any questions at 908-464-4430.
