MILLBURN, NJ - Teens for the Cure, an organization comprised of high school students, has organized a charity run/walk to fight breast cancer, which takes place on Sunday, Oct. 6 in the South Mountain Reservation at 10 a.m.
Participants are asked to make a donation of at least $20 to the Susan G. Komen foundation. The starting point will be Glen Avenue and Paper Mill Way/Brookside Drive.
From Teens for the Cure:
“Teens for the Cure was formed to create a sense of community among young people affected by the disease and to provide a solid network of hope and support. Teens for the Cure educates and empowers teenagers by showing them that they too can make a difference.
The main goals of GO PINK! are to continue to raise awareness about the effects of breast cancer in the upcoming generation of young women and men, to underscore the importance of early detection and to raise funds for Susan G. Komen for the Cure North Jersey Affiliate.
We are seeking support for this event and ask everyone to join us in the fight to win the war against breast cancer. Help us to run breast cancer out of town! “
