Zombie Fest 2014 to Benefit Children’s Environmental Education Program

EDISON, NJ – The environmental nonprofit Edison Wetlands Association (EWA) will host its first annual Zombie Fest at the Triple C Ranch, the last farm in northern Middlesex County.
The EWA is inviting the community to the ranch to enjoy a fun event featuring live music, face painting, arts and crafts, a bonfire and a zombie run! The event will feature an exhilarating run through the trails of the Dismal Swamp for adults and children 8 years and older.
The EWA kindly requests that all zombies preregister and dress up in their best undead attire. Prizes will be given out to the best dressed zombie in attendance.
The event will be held on Saturday, September 27 from 4 to 8 p.m. (rain date is October 4) at the Triple C Ranch located at 206 Tyler Road in Edison.
Volunteers are needed to participate in the Zombie Run through the Dismal Swamp Conservation Area AKA the “Diz”, Call or e-mail Edison Wetlands Association at (732) 321-1300 or click Info at EWA. Registration for the zombie run is required and all zombies are welcome.

The Triple C Ranch is the last remaining farm in the Northern Middlesex County, located in the heart of the Dismal Swamp Conservation Area. The 1450-acre Dismal Swamp is home to an estimated 165 species of birds, 20 mammals, 20 amphibians and reptile species.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the EWA Environmental Education Program.
