Visit Museum of Modern Art with Senior Services of Chatham

The Senior Center of the Chathams will be heading for the Museum of Modern Art on Thursday, May 15 for a guided highlights tour at 11 am. Founded in 1929 as an educational institution, The Museum of Modern Art is dedicated to being the foremost museum of modern art in the world. Along with its collection of painting and sculpture from such artists as Picasso, Dali, Matisse, Monet, Cezanne, Van Gogh, Warhol, and Pollack, the special exhibits include: Gauguin: Metamorphoses, Frank Lloyd Wright and the City, and Designing Modern Women 1890 -1990.
The bus leaves the Chatham Twp Municipal building at 9 am and will return around 5 pm. Lunch is on your own in the museum’s dining facilities or in the area. A list of area suggestions will be available. The museum is located on 53rd St. with many sights within walking distance to explore in your free time. Among them – St Patrick’s Cathedral, Rockefeller Center, and the shops on 5th Ave.
The cost of the trip is $60 which includes the entrance fee, tour and bus. Please contact the Senior Center at 973-635-4565 for reservations or information. The bus leaves the Senior Center at 9 am and returns at 5pm.
