STOP THE STIGMA - SUPPORT MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS
Monday, April 28, 2014 • 6:23pm
On May 10, 2014, I am participating in the 12th Annual NAMI Walk in Seaside Park, NJ to raise funds and bring awareness to the topic of mental illness.
Please support our nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization, National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI's mission is to advocate for access to services, treatment, support, education and research. It continues its steadfast commitment to raising awareness and building a community of hope for all of those in need.
NAMI has been improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness since it was founded in 1979. Through education, support and advocacy, NAMI strives to eliminate the pervasive stigma of mental illness, effect positive changes in the mental health system and increase public and professional understanding.
If you would like to be part of this very important event, please consider joining me for the walk and/or making a donation. Your donation will help continue the work that is already in progress as well as expand to other programs.
