Sleet and Ice Could Bring Possible Outages; Prepare Now

WEST ESSEX, NJ - Along with the large amount of snowfall, Thursday's winter storm is bringing with it heavy freezing rains and sleet. The combination weighing on power lines and tree branches could possibly bring on a power outage.
Check that all electronic devices have been fully charged
Check that all flashlights have working batteries
Have candles and matches ready
Have wood for a fireplace and matches ready
Have fuel ready for generators
- Set the refrigerator and freezer to their coldest settings for the duration of the weather event or place foods outside in the freezing temperatures
PSEG customers should vigilantly alert PSEG to their outage location:
