Paul Desilva, a Roselle Park resident, has been playing guitar since the age of eight and also likes to sing. He plays instrumentals that sound classical or Spanish but he is versed in many other styles. For about 10 years, he played guitar in Church. “I'm basically a singer songwriter/guitarist who is on a musical quest and not trying to limit myself.”
Leona M Seufert is active in the arts in this town. She is the town’s first Poet Laureate. She has read her poems at the annual 9/11 memorial service, and has given writing workshops and readings at the Roselle Park Library and Casano Community Center. Seufert has published 2 poetry chapbooks, The Memory Keeper’s Promise - Reflecting on Loss and Remembrance which included the poems that she read at each of the Roselle Park 9/11 memorial services, and From Here To There And Back Again, A Commuter’s Journey, which is a witty, insightful collection of poems she wrote about her daily commute into New York City over a 12 month period.
The Art Gallery is located in the Casano Community Center. Its mission is to give Roselle Park residents a venue to display their artistic works and connect with the community at large. The Art Gallery accepts work only from Roselle Park residents and must be 2 dimensional, no sculpture or jewelry will be accepted. Contact 908-241-5874 for exhibiting information.
SummerFest’s goal is to publicize the town’s events and make Roselle Park a destination for summer fun.
