Rescue Dogs Arrive By Jet

MORRISTOWN, NJ - Home For Good Dog Rescue (HFG) is a foster-based organization located in Berkley Heights, New Jersey. Since August 2010, HFG has rescued and adopted over 2,700 dogs. The members of HFG, are committed to rescuing puppies and dogs from high kill shelters and finding caring foster families in Georgia and South Carolina.
HFG believes that each puppy and dog that is rescued should be able to experience life with a family. Families foster the dogs until they can be transported to New Jersey for permanent adoption.
Usually, members from HFG drive down in a van every other week and transport the fostered dogs to New Jersey.
However, thanks to Dirk van der Sterre, owner of FTC FBO and his wife Jill, the trip was made by air rather than by road. A jet arrived this past Sunday at Morristown Airport. The puppies and dogs were greeted by a group of volunteers from HFG.
Once in New Jersey, the puppies and dogs are bathed, vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered as needed.
Angela Murray, Director of HFG explained, “There are many things that make HFG unique. Dogs won’t stay in kennels until they are adopted. They will stay with passionate and dedicated fosters until they find their forever home.”
