Reducing the Risk of Diabetes Talk at Old Guard

Michele De Lorenzo, a board certified nurse practitioner, will talk to the June 25 meeting of the Summit Old Guard about “Risk Reduction Strategies” and home care concerning type II diabetes. The presentation is at the New Providence Municipal Center. She works for United Health Group in the healthy house calls division where sees individuals at their homes providing education, resources and overall support. Along with the home care, Michele works as a nurse practitioner in a weight loss management program in Randolph New Jersey. She has a Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania and Post Masters at Seton Hall University.
All area 50-plus active men are invited to attend meetings of the Summit Area Old Guard on Tuesday mornings at the New Providence Municipal Center at 360 Elkwood Avenue. A coffee hour starts at 9:15 that is followed by a 10 AM short business meeting. Old Guard members participate in sports, bridge, hikes, trips, plays, concerts and cultural events.
