Hundreds of School Items Donated to Food Bank Network

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - The Somerset County Commission on the Status of Women presented hundreds of school supplies to the Food Bank Network Somerset County as part of the commission's "Project First Class."
The donations will be going to the children of families served by the Food Bank Network.
According to a release from the county, backpacks, notebooks, pens, pencils, markers, glue, paper and binders were among the items donated.
"This is another wonderful outpouring of generosity from individuals and organizations in our community," Somerset County Freeholder Patricia Walsh said in the release.
Groups that gave collections this year for the program included the Rotary Club of Plainfield-North Plainfield, the MOMS Club of Bridgewater West, the Community VNA, employees at the Bridgewater Municipal Building, Girl Scout Daisy Troop No. 60318 of Bernardsville, Cadette Troop No. 60111 of Bernardsville, and St. James the Apostle School in Springfield.
