Girl Scout Gold Award Project Gives Morris Habitat Homeowners Fun Family Time!

Randolph, NJ: Girl Scout Ambassador Troop 80930 (Long Valley) member Becky Smith is currently working on her Girl Scout Gold Award project, partnering with Morris Habitat for Humanity, to bring families together as they transition into their new homes. Her project entitled “Family Time is Fun Time!” provides tables and chairs and board/card games that will allow families to connect and bond in their new living space. Just recently she donated items to the Calle and Benjamin families, two new Morris Habitat homeowners in Dover.
Becky created this project because she feels all families should have quality time to spend together. Her goal is to help keep families together through thick and thin. She loves spending time with her family, especially without the TV or electronics involved. Through her project Becky hopes to make these connections happen! Her furnished family rooms will give families somewhere where they can go to forget the things they have to do and enjoy their family time in a comfortable, new space.
Are you interested in helping? Becky will have a donation box located in the Morris Habitat office reception area from July 7th through September 15th. The office is located at 274 S. Salem St, Suite 100, Randolph, NJ (right next to the ReStore). Becky is looking for NEW board/card games (for all ages), or donations to help with the purchase and refurbishment of tables and chairs. Donation checks can be made out to Girl Scout Troop 80930 and dropped off or mailed to the Morris Habitat office.
