The library hopes to entice everyone to keep reading all summer long! Preschoolers, school-age children, teens and adults can sign up for their own summer reading club. The reading club is a fun way to enable children and teens to maintain their reading skills during the summer. Kids and teens will earn prizes for their accomplishments. Thanks to the generosity of the Friends of the Clark Library, teens, children and adults will be eligible to enter our grand prize drawing for a Kindle! Registration for reading clubs is ongoing and takes place at the library.
Additionally, a wide variety of programs are offered this summer. Story hours, crafts, cultural events and movies are just a small sampling of activities available for children. The kick-off program for children will take place on Monday, June 23th at 7:00 p.m. and feature David Engel performing Jedi Academy for ages 4 and up. Children are encouraged to dress as their favorite Star Wars characters for this fun program. Question of the Week will keep research skills sharp and offer a chance to win a t-shirt. Teens will enjoy crafts, origami, and movies, as well as a great selection of books, graphic novels and more.
