Former Martin Luther King School Nurse, Helen Rusnak of Edison, Dies at 74

EDISON, NJ - Helen Rusnak, 75, of Edison, passed peacefully on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at the McCarrick Care Center in Somerset.
She was born in Fords, in 1939, and has resided in Edison the majority of her life.
Helen was a retired registered nurse with the Edison School District, where she was the school nurse at the Martin Luther King School for 33 years.
Helen was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church in Fords and was a member of the Columbiettes at the church.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Steve Rusnak, who died August 28, 2013.
Helen leaves behind her beloved brother, Collin Hirner and his wife, Edye, of Tempealeau, WI, her nephews, Glenn Hirner and his wife Gwen, of Green Bay WI and Michael Hirner and his wife Kelly, of Shorewood, MN, her nieces, Susan Cantor and her husband Bruce, of St. Louis Park, MN and Mary Yuschik, her goddaughter and great niece, Allison Yuschik both of South Plainfield and her sister in law, Madga “Madge” Yuschik of Edison.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, August 30, 2014, at 9:30 a.m. from the Flynn and son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Liturgy, at Our Lady of Peace Church. Interment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 29, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
