Caldwell Police Sergeant Fred Arnold Remains in Critical Condition at Mountainside Hospital

CALDWELL, NJ - Sergeant Fred Arnold, a veteran Caldwell police officer, is currently still in critical condition at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair following a heart attack yesterday afternoon.
Sergeant Arnold was on duty driving a police vehicle when the cardiac incident occurred. He managed to navigate the car and stop it without causing any significant damage to the vehicle. He was found unconscious in the vehicle, and responding oficers removed him from the car and began life saving measures.
