MORRIS PLAINS, NJ -  Kelsey Burke and Melanie Muir each scored during a span of five minutes in the second half to power Chatham's 3-1 victory over Parsippany Hills in a Northwest Jersey Athletic Conference game played on Thursday.
Tyler Madison's goal five minutes into the action staked Parsippany Hills (1-3) to a 1-0 lead before Chatham (1-1) tied it on a goal by Danielle Terzer - set up by Emily Walczyk's pass - for a 1-1 tie heading into the break.
Midway through the second half, Burke collected her own rebound and tucked it neatly beneath the Parsippany Hills keeper to put Chatham ahead, 2-1.  Five minutes later, Muir beat two defenders and finished her effort to put the Lady Cougars ahead 3-1.
The Vikings pressed the last few minutes of the game, but Chatham's Morgan Maltby was more than up for the challenge, making a number of impressive stops to finish with 12 saves.

Chatham plays on the road again Monday against conference rival Morristown at 4 p.m.
