WEST ORANGE, NJ - The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Northeast New Jersey beginning at 5 a.m. and ending at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17.
Snow is expected to begin around 5 a.m., though some snowfall may occur during the night with 1-2 inches possible. An additional 1-3 inches is expected between 5 a.m. and 1 p.m., with combined totals of 2 to 5 inches.
The main issue will be the effect the morning snow has on rush hour. The school district will not make a call on a delayed opening or school closure until after 5 am.
